May 8, 2007. That had to be one of the slowest moving thunderstorms that passed over the Twin Plex last night. The storm that developed just to the west of the Twin Plex took its time to move in to the western suburbs and move across the metro. The size of the storm was confined to a size not much bigger than the 494/696 loop. So you might not have received much of any rain from this storm. Chances are though you may have heard the rumbles of thunder and seen some lightning that accompanied the storm and there seemed to be plenty of lightning.
I totaled a total of .24 inches of rain, 16" before midnight and .08" after midnight.
